Concept covered:
•Green Design - Lowering environmental impact through redesigning individual qualities of individual products.
•Eco Design - Lowering environmental impact focussing on the whole life-cycle of products from extraction of raw materials to final disposal.
•Emotionally Durable Design - Strengthening and extending in time the emotional attachment between the user and the product
•Cradle to Cradle Design - Emphasis on a regenerative approach by the industry and closing the loops; focus on non-human species and future generations
•Biomimicry - Mimicking nature in design of forms, products and systems by using nature as model, measure and mentor
•Design for Sustainable Behaviour Change - Making people to adopt a desired sustainable behaviour and abandon an unwanted unsustainable behaviour
•Product Design for BoP - Improving the lives of people who live at the base of the pyramid through market-based solutions
