I got my first barbell at age 11 and have been watching alex since I know im not exactly a 1:1 im 6’2 and had been for most of my viewership vastly overweight but i hold you to the highest standards and wish to imitate your lifting style and become a natty badass forever an inspiration man!

I like it. I do chains a lot, absolutely great for lockout and stabilizers. Teaches a person to drive hard until then end of the rep.

Benching with chains blew my bench press strength up when I first tried it. I went from a 225lb 1RM to 275lbs and felt like I could rep 2 plates for days.

Guys i have a question that might seem Dumb, but because i am really new to Conjugate training .
when i am running normal Hypertrophy (Double progression) programs, i figure out my weights eventually after a few weeks maybe i get 10-10-10 keep adding weight to find the sweat spot .
but with Conjugate if i am hitting a 5x5 or 3x10 for example on a new variation every 1-2 week, how do i set up my weight for this movement ?
(do i just keep warming up doing 10's ?) but sometimes i feel i overshot or undershot my weight ..

(i am not a beginner, but i never did % training or conjugate or any of these types, i am always following a normal Rep range and progress in it and figure out the weights as i am going but now i am confused a bit)

I really don't like the Smith machine because you really can't get the bench centerd always a lil off to one side I could never get it equally, got discouraged and stopped using it

Recently, I’ve seen you do 3 x 10 @ 70% after a 1-5RM. Are you moving away (ever so slightly) from the usual 2 set method?

Nah, chains for bench aren't doing a lot for gains. There's less weight when the pecks are in their most stretched position. The weight is the heaviest in the least important position. Just add more plates and get rid of the chain.
