I had an allergic reaction to Imuran. I was taking it for Crohn's. I had a 103 degree fever, sweats, whole body shaking, could not eat, extreme back and leg pain that was so severe that I could not stand or walk and honestly, I thought I might die. The doctor's at emergency told me there was no such thing as an allergic reaction to imuran. I took it again the next day as they told me and the same thing happened again only worse, ended up back in hospital. They thought I might have meningitis (sp?). I thought that was ridiculous and stopped taking it myself and this never happened again. Just in case you are experiencing this, and want to know what an allergic reaction might look like, this was my reaction.
