Silicone Mold Making: Molding A Cast Iron Trolley Utility Cover

In this tutorial we mold a piece of Dallas history! This tutorial covers the process of molding a cast iron utility cover for the Uptown Trolley here in Dallas. The mold was made using 5092 silicone with the Medium (Yellow) Catalyst. We cast a test part using ArtKast Pourable pigmented with PolyPig colors.

For those paying attention, I cast another copy with more brown pigment and that is the cast you see in the video thumbnail!
