Just scored a 1001 model with a bunch of games and movies, a carrying pouch, travel cases for the UMD’s and a house and travel charger all for $120 I couldn’t be happier. My childhood is literally in my hands.

Playing PSP games on a phone is convenient for people who never purchased a PSP but I prefer getting a 2nd hand PSP and use that instead. The controls are awesome.

PSP`s are worth it even today. They are comfortable, they are very well made, they have a good selection of games and they are completelly abandoned by sony so homebrew is a thing.
The PS Vita is an upgrade, but the PSP feels better in the hands. It will always have a soft spot on my heart and if sony is smart they will make a PSP-2, that does NOT compete agains't their main console but that's worth using it. I would love that. Hell at this point if sone decided to create new models of PSP with custom firmware that is fully locked again but compatible wiht the old UMD format, I would totally buy just to have new hardware XD

The thing I like about the psp is that it has a removable battery. Ps vita needs to be torn apart to get to it. Also, it's a shame they abandoned umd. I really liked that concept.

Mine's still working. I just really find it hard to find a legit battery and charger. I end up buying them every now and then

I have 2 both the Radiant Red colour 🔥 amazing device. I do have a Vita too but I prefer playing my psp games on the original PSP specifically the 3000 model, even the PS1 games I prefer playing on the PSP. I also have PC engine, Megadrive, SNES & Arcade emulators on mine tailored with my favourite games. I have it modded, tweaked to perfection, I have a Cameron Sino battery they are the best modern battery replacement for the PSP. Great video 😊

Just ordered this and sold my switch OLED have the original psp and ordered this model!!!! Got some games ordered tomb raider anniversary for psp and have some PS2 games fatal frame 1 and 2 and clock tower 3 and resident evil Just got outbreak I'm so happy to get another playstation handheld I cannot wait!!!! And got resident evil extinction for psp!!!! I'm really hyped to get this model got tired of the OLED and decided to go to Have a g7 and very happy to wait for it I got the black super excited for my new Graphics are still great for all these Very happy to have outbreak back also got it for 35.00$ had to grab it before it goes up in My advice get some games while you can or keep what you've got I got all the other PS2 games at a nice price before they went too

My Entertainment Mart has these for $180.00 (japan imported) and they felt a little cheap I have a 2000 version so I really dk if the 3000 model is like that

Your comment on the Nintendo switch vs psp price is a bit invalid I must say (especially if your considering inflation) because overall the PSP still has a greater variety of games vs the switch, which only has Nintendo games. If anything the steam deck is #1 and psp #2, IMO the switch, simply just being Nintendo is limited when you come to terms of variety of games.
