How PCR tests helped change the definition of 'infected'

#PCRTest #Covid Julia Bach's principal areas of focus in biotechnology have been cell culture and downstream process development, high throughput screening of small-molecule candidates, and viral clearance. Some past projects and publications include studying the behavior of model retroviruses on chromatography resins (e.g. Protein A and Cation Exchange), measuring contributions of amino acids toward protein binding on affinity chromatography, and determining the contribution of Vitamin B12 to the color of mAb drug substance.

This basically confirms what Kari Mullis, the developer of PCR, said. You can find anything if you run over 25 cycles with the test, but that on its own is not a diagnosis of active illness.

Nobel Laureate creator of the PCR Test: “This test shouldn’t be used for COVID.”
Medical community: “Let’s use the PCR Test for COVID.”

As I said when sharing across my social media, only halfway in and this is more informative and helpful than anything that’s come out of the mouths of our “government medical experts” over the last two years. Great interview, Alison!

Very informative. It makes me think of PGA golfer John Rahm. He was diagnosed positive for COVID during the Memorial tournament and had to withdraw, in June. He had the Vax prior. Then he was supposed to play in the Olympics, and tested positive again and had to withdraw. What this tells me, is he had the virus but was over it and still had it in his system. He got screwed twice.

"What's the point of testing?" It's all about control.

Not the “gold standard” of DIAGNOSIS. They are changing the definition to change the diagnosis.

Next week: How changing the definition of “Infected” turned a virus outbreak into a profitable pandemic

Those aren’t conspiracy theories anymore Alison.
They’re spoiler alerts.

What was the goal of public health officials you ask.
1) Put the panic back in pandemic
2) Get the public to respect authority and fear each other. Including family members.

The PCR test can actually provide an indication of the viral load by the number of cycles it takes to get a positive and typically the number of cycles is way too high - near 40 - when an active infection can be detected around 25. When PCR tests were done in the past they would provide the number of cycles it took to return a positive as an indication of the viral load; the higher the viral load the fewer amplification cycles it takes to get a positive. That's no longer happening as they just report that the test came back as positive or negative.

Julia is totally correct in pointing out what used to be done of having a culture grown to see if the virus multiplies is a great way to make the determination on active infection. As was pointed out, constantly testing everyone is a way to make money and has been an incredibly effective tool for spreading fear by showing how pervasive this virus is in society.

“What’s the goal here?” A question we should always be asking

All along I felt like the the whole thing was blown out of proportion. Now I have a clearer understanding of how.

My kid had to have a PCR test. It came back negative for covid but was positive for a shit ton of other things. I asked the nurse if I should be worried. They asked if my kid had any kind of sickness in the past year. I said yes, of course. The nurse said nope, nothing to worry about. What if my child had covid earlier in the year? I would have had her on lockdown for no reason?!?

The PCR test is registered trade mark of the Rotschild family.
This info is enough for me...

Disappointed that they didn't mention the Cycle Threshold factor and the way it impacts the PCR test. The two truths, that you are just looking for a specific gene regardless of its ability to infect (which they describe here) and how many cycles you run that test (how deep do you dig for that gene), go hand in hand and mean that as time goes on, you could potentially find more and more positive PCR tests in a given community that are just meaningless. How many cycles does a specific PCR test run, 25? 35? 45? It matters immensely and nobody is provided with a CT number along with a positive PCR test.

Never in the history of infectious disease has a disease been about infections and not deaths.

My wife and I took the pcr test 5 times in one week back in January. My wife’s first test was positive. Every test we took there after was negative. I’ve read many stories around the country were people took 4 tests in one week because they had to travel. Some came back with 2 positive and 2 negative vis versa.

The teat is shit! We can’t tell the public who is sick based on this. It’s not morally right.

PCR is not a test. Weird she keeps calling it one. It is an amplification process. It's like saying a copy machine tests for letters and/or numbers.

Thanks for having these conversations! I feel like being treated like someone who can decide for oneself and not a child that needs to hand over all his thinking to the authorities
