Sorry, man. You got the cheaer polycarbonate luggage known to be brittle and cracks upon heavy impact. Should've paid a little more for the aluminum. Dents can be hammered out.

If this is a real Rimowa, it's old. All polycarbonate will deteriorate with wear after 8-10 years, and airline mishandling will lead to this major crack. If this ever happens, file a claim with the airline immediately and take your suitcase to the nearest rimowa for repair.

You bought the cheapest RIMOWA. I have no problems since 5 years with my aluminium ones except the handle last trip. RIMOWA switched it without any extra charge and even shipped it for free to my second residence.

You got the cheaper plastic polycarbonate luggage. This does happen with the metal ones. Should have got the aluminium one!!

It has lifetime warranty. Also that's why I wouldnt get a expensive checked in bag, only caryy on so I can keep it safe

Lol that’s a poly dude I have 2 already that broke. Switched to aluminum trunk plus and 2 Check in L, while it’ll look unsightly due to dents and scratches, it won’t break or crack like a poly.
