The video shows how the 2D Fourier transform is affected when the number of pixels is changed in a given image. The image field of view stays the same, while the number of pixels have been increased or decreased. The text is added post transformation.
*The original image was recorded using a 2048x2048 digital sensor [1].
The image was recorded using a Transmission Electron Microscope [2] and depict a thin crystal of Barium Zirconate;
The number of pixels have been altered using Photoshop [3];
The Fourier transforms are made using DigitalMicrograph [1];
The stills are combined into av video using Diptic [4] and Zeitraffer [5];
