My brother-in-law does vibrational analysis for large mining companies, the windmill industry, and for sugar refineries. This allows companies to do proactive maintenance and determine if when preventative maintenance should be done. This reduces down time for equipment repairs because it allowes the down time to be planned for, and in the long run it helps the consumers and the companies both by reducing long term costs and expenditures.
