Been in severe pain all night, aside from pain killers what just really helped was:

1. Salt water, hold in mouth for about 30 seconds, repeat every few minutes, do this about 5 times

2. Ice pack wrapped in a towel for the outside of the face, lightly hold on the affected area where the tooth is

3. Ice cube - hold an ice cube in the mouth and use your tongue to hold it near the gum/teeth where the pain is, take it out intermittently or let it melt down all the way, whatever is most comfortable. Repeat with a new ice cube every 5 minutes or so. This was really effective, it reduced the swelling of the pulp inside the tooth it seems so gives a great relief as it’s not as pressured up against the hard casing of the tooth

4. Peppermint tea - let it cool down to pretty much room temperature, then swill it in the mouth a little before swallowing each mouthful

After about 20 minutes of this the toothache has pretty much fully subsided, it quickly numbs the pain but it definitely seems to have a prolonged impact

To all the people who was in pain right now, and can’t go see a dentist. You can always go to urgent care or to your doctor. They can prescribe you some pain medication and some antibiotics until you can get to a dentist.

My toothache would not go away I was crying! Only thing I felt helped was taking a cold shower and just standing in there a while letting water run in my mouth. I was in there for more than an hour!

Currently going though this right now...I think this is some of the worst pain a human can experience and i have endured various pains thoughout my life, but nothing compares to this! ice cold water and salt is the only thing that takes the edge of this...

never felt so much pain in my life honesty this is from someone who had a motorcycle accident broke my ribs my arm damaged my spine to the point i had to re learn to walk that seems like a little paper cut compared to this the hole right side of my face is aching almost feels like an ear infection pain killers dont work i tried smoking weed that didnt work i havnt slept in 4 days barely eaten as well

i am glad my parents immigrated to australia and not America, we have free universal health care here, i had infected teeth that could have killed me, i was totally fatigued and could not get up off the couch, i would come good after a few days but it would come back and lucky i had tooth pain as well, in australia you can always go to the dental hospital to have basic or emergency dental work done, when the dentist pulled these two teeth out they had grey spots on them from the infection, the infection was the source of my illness, the infection gets into your blood and causes sepsis and kills you. i would have died if my teeth were not aching forcing me to have them looked at by a dentist who could see they were infected as there was a pimple on the gum where the infection releases puss, although i did not know what this pimple looking thing was.
if i did not have teeth pain the illness would have got worse and i would have died, it would have been unlikely they would have suspected a tooth infection and sepsis, and i would not have gone to the doctor until it would have been to late, but the tooth pain saved my life, not everyone has tooth pain, many just die from sepsis, which is blood poisoning, and they die very quickly, often over night !!!
don't mess with infected teeth, get them checked out by a professional as soon as possible, and you would be wise to heed my advice if you suspect infected teeth !!!

I did laps around my kitchen for the last straight 48 hours as walking takes the pain from 100% to 95% trying every known method, while waiting to see the dentist this morning. It was an actual hell, so much pain I was sweating, just brutal, relentlessness. Saw the dentist today, on antibiotics and just 10 T3s before I can get the root canal. You can't even focus on a show or video game, the pain is just a relentless fuck. Hope all of you don't have it this bad.

I've had kidney stones and right now I am suffering from an extreme toothache that has the whole right side of my face and head throbbing incessantly. It is radiating from my jaw. I have tried every "remedy" I could find on you tube and google they are all a joke when dealing with this type of agony. I'd rather just lose the tooth that deal with this. Not a second of rest.
