The German Shepherd Husky Mix, sometimes called the Gerberian Shepsky, is a medium-sized dog that was bred to combine the intelligence of the German Shepherd and the energy of a Husky. This mix is a very popular addition to both European and American families.

This loyal companion is known for its friendly nature, their good behavior with children and their protectiveness towards their owners.

I have had two shepsky dogs. So loving and smart, and yes, they shed big-time! Enjoyed going for car rides and long walks. Very good with my kids and cats. The best dogs I ever had. Sadie and Sheva are very much missed and loved to this day.

They run and play constantly! I love watching them run my 2 acres of land. They love my old 6 lb chihuahua and cats! The best puppies! Training is going well!

I'm about to adopt one from someone who doesn't want her anymore. Still under a year, already fixed and fully vaccinated. I work at a pet hotel with daily play groups and have a big park just around the corner at home and a decent sized backyard. Looking forward to having her as part of the family.

I have a Gerberian Shepsky, and, he is a freakishly good dog. Now, I got him when he was 4, and, I don't know all the training he has had. I am just saying they have the capacity to be like this. He was amazing with my cats. He was extremely "polite" and patient to them. He is an extremely sweet and loving dog. We had a house full of people over for a birthday party, and, he just (calmly) wanted to make friends. Ok, those are my 2 cents.

We recently adopted a 3year old female shepky and she is so kind, never bark(yet), easy to take care, and a quick learner.

definently recommend this dog if you love a playful and loyal dog, i got a 5 y/o shepskie rescue that is beautiful w/ 2 different color eyes. They require alot of attention, if my dog doesnt get a walk he will get very restless that day. huge energy but very rewarding

I have this mix she is 2 years old her name is Lexus, she is protective she is very watchful around us, she is very curious, she isn't afraid of loud sound like gunshots or fireworks she absolutely just loves kids. She is the best dog and so very much intelligent and one time i had someone comment saying that my dog looks like a cyborg because she is very unique in her personality and she only barks when it is really necessary. Most of the time when she hears something outside because she lives inside with my hubby and I she won't bark but goes over to the window to look out to see what the sound is coming from which i love that she is more quiet than super barky. We just absolutely love her. She is also very affectionate goofy and just a good mix of the german shepherd and husky in her. I rescued mine for 50 bucks, pound said PO said the dog was hard to deal with, "training" this dog to sit and wait for her food and having her sit and wait to go potty while I open the door was easier than making a box of Mac and cheese im blown away someone could have let her go but im sure glad I wouldn't trade her for a million dollars

I own a 17 month female. I m doing shutzhundt training for her. She is responding really well in tracking, obedience and protection. But, you have to spend a lot of time. She loves the challenge.

Ours is almost 3 and she’s a real brat 😂 we love her so much though! Super cuddly and sweet with us but protective of us as well! We have a German shepherd who is older and was here first.
