Thank you for putting words to something that I've been grappling with. It feels good to know others are feeling the same way. I can't wait to see what recipes you've got for us.

Man, you are so well spoken and explained this change perfectly. I can’t wait to see the “new” content.

I always felt the eco friendly focus in you. Tbh i think any of your audience that has been paying attention sees it. You have such powerful messages and i truly feel your voice can make a change. I seriously hope your channel gets way bigger.

I’ve been a vegetarian for nearly 5 years (was a Vegan for one year in law school) and I’ve never been happier. Sure, having been raised Filipino in LA’s KTOWN surrounded by meat 24/7 made giving up a lifetime of meat eating difficult at first. However, like giving up smoking cigarettes your sense of taste begins to clear up and I began to notice that a lot of what I was looking for in meat was more so flavors created by the vegetables themselves. All that was missing was texture, which again over time, you find alternatives whether plant-based products or just flat out other vegetables with similar texture. On a separate note, I must say, knowing that you went to law school as well, you would have been an great litigator. Your argument and summation was well reasoned, unassuming but influential. Bravo.

I am vegetarian and occasional pescatarian so I love change and different recipes! I’m here for it. Also, I love the shift to sustainability and trying to make habitual shifts. I like you am also a millennial and I would love to align my beliefs with how I am living especially for my little babies who will have a longer time on this earth than me.

one of the main reasons why i like you as a creator is bc you're not like a lot of others. you allow yourself to be human & care out loud/speak up. i do it. my friends do it - it's SO normal but tons of creators shy away from speaking up (which is a kind of off-putting).
so many ppl have been convinced that it's not okay to talk about what matters lmao.

i love your cooking, your humor, & everything else but that quality definitely sets creators apart

I've definitely appreciated when you've highlighted Michigan's seasonally accessible veg. Looking forward to more!

I'm a vegetarian millennial and absolutely love this message. Not enough cooking YouTubers touch on these subjects. I remember one of your shorts was talking about how electric is more eco-friendly than gas and it was such an eye-opening observation! Can't wait for more videos!

I'm so glad you're doing this. I follow Sorted Food, who bring up these conversations from the UK/European perspective so it's great you're doing it as well. They really influenced me in eating more local, more fruits/vegetables and more humanely raised animals.

Aw! Yay Jon! I'm so excited to see what you have in store for us. Having a platform and being authentic can be hard I hear. There's moments where you can easily lose yourself or lose the goal you hand in mind and its hard to stay afloat or stay on track. Since I've subscribed, I felt like you've been pretty consistent even if there were a few small changes here and there. I look forward to your future content and what you come up with.

Yes. Agree. I stayed for your, what was clear to me, opinions; takes on life; sustainability; and inclusion in breaking down barriers. ❤️ Hell yes!

Well spoken! Advocating that everyone can make a small change and that those small changes matter and that everyone of us as a person matters and is valueable is a thing seldom heard on the internet. :-)

Without your content and how strongly you advocate for induction stoves, I never would’ve learned about the environmental and health impacts that gas stoves have. Being Malaysian Chinese, “wok hei” is always such a huge thing in bringing flavour so I’ve always seen induction stoves as more of a compromise but I know so much better now thanks to you. I love this. I love you. And your decision to focus more on being more sustainable just makes me love you more! 💖✨

i’ve said that to others before too. for people who aren’t willing to go full on vegan or vegetarian, they can try doing 1 vegan or vegetarian meal per day, 3 per week, etc. it can help with a person’s health and the environment. small changes can add up.

I remember doing Meatless Mondays. Not sure how I got off track, but I will be going back to it. Also, my son's school makes their own locally sourced vegetarian food for lunch and AM & PM snacks.
