I have used fasteners like this on a few projects, and they work great. I found that a small trim router works much better than a Forstner bit. Just set the router bit to depth of the fastener, and cut out your slot. Quick and repeatable.

Do you have the plans for the two legs you used? They look great, and I am looking for something similar for my slab bench. Video is amazing! Thanks!

Nice job David I have also used them to attach insert panels for large mortise and tenon frame and panel furniture. The panels can be removed to make the furniture lighter to move.

Very under rated video. I learned something and subscribed.

Nicely done!! Would it better assure that the Forstner doesn't drift off of your circle lines if you drilled a very small pilot hole to force the center spur to not drift? I've never done this in hardwood, so don't know if that's even feasible. Again, nicely done. Beautiful table.

Hi David! Nice job! I'm from Brazil. I'll use this great idea in my projects.

I would think clamping a sacrificial piece of wood along that edge would help to avoid tear out while drilling.

Great video . What is a good finish for walnut?

Don’t you want the axis of the connector (ie from centre to centre) to be parallel to the table top grain so the A’s expansion occurs it pivots easily? Or maybe I don’t understand how this is meant to work.

Thanks for up-dating the latest and greatest fasteners to the market. Now I don't have-ta fab from wood.
(By the way, your assistant was very helpful. Hope he's not getting royalties) :)

I do not understand the need for this product. I have a small antique oak kitchen table. This table is well over 130 years old. It has tapered wood screws driven from the inside of the rail up into the oak wood top at an angle. Kind of like a primitive Kreg screw and its held up for 1.5 centuries.

I just use a slot and Z clips. Much easier.
