We have changed our business plan from selling seed stock Angus to selling halves and wholes. We started receiving phone calls to purchase beef. You and Erin have encouraged us. Thank you for educating those that want to know what farmers and rancher do as well as the love and care we have for all our animals. 🐮

I had no idea you could actually put the animals tag number on the package of beef. That’s incredible and an absolutely fantastic idea.

Good to know there are still people like you working hard to keep this country the great place it is! Keep up the good work!

Mike putting away the hamburger brought tears to my eyes. My late uncle used to hold out a Hereford Bull Calf every year and not castrate it. When it got to about 1600# it was slaughtered and entirely made into 2# packages. And it was divided up with us. It was THE BEST BBQ hamburgers ever. My Aunt made 50 gallons of chili beans once a month with 10 pounds. People from the SF Bay Area would time their weekend scenic drives up the Pacific coast to coincide with the chili bean Saturdays.

You're right about the taste difference. We got into raising our own beef with a purchase of a jersey bottle calf at the auction. Since then, we're on our 3rd 🐄. The taste of meat is amazing, and best of all, we know what feed goes into the animal. I love watching your ranch grow and develop, I learned alot from watching all your videos.

I’ve got to say that I went oh no, when you dumped that beef into the freezer. I guess that’s the fastest way to get it loaded. I hope your sales are fantastic. Mike, and that you guys make lots of money going directly to the consumer. Thank you for the very informative video.

I use to have 14 deep freezers for our farm operation, this year we purchased a polar king walk -in freezer, I definitely don’t miss the days of hoping everything was going to fit!

There has been quite a few changes over the years and have been proud to say I have been along for the ride.❤❤

I'm so excited we can order beef/pork that you have raised. I haven't missed any of your podcast in several years (I started watching when your two bulls were Bubbles and Bubba...I think that was the big red bulls names) ever how long ago that was. So I'm happy I got to place an order this time!!👍 I'd much rather buy my beef from you than the grocery store. The big advantage to me, besides knowing the quality and taste is excellent, is that I've watched these steers go from birth to finishing school right here on the podcast! I see first hand how well you take care of them. So congratulations to you and Erin on this new chapter to Our Wyoming Life!!!!🥰

Another great episode Mike ! Really enjoyable to get to see the the real process of farm to table (or to freezer/farm store). Your channel has really become one of the best farm/ranch lifestyle out there and you really take the time to explain and educate about so much of the day to day activities and hard work that it takes to raise cattle and livestock, and of course with your signature wit and humour, and compassion though for the animals that you raise.

Great video. I am curious how long that beef will last you in the store & on line sales?! I can heard the pride in your voice for what ya'll do & it's well deserved. Hope to order very soon. ❤

Mike, these should be required viewing for city kids to watch. Most have zero idea where their food comes from, or why supporting ranchers like yourself is good for the community, and our country as a whole.

As always Mike you do a great job of explaining the Who, the What, and the most important part, the Why. My unpaid endorsement: While in NJ I can get beef and pork at my local supermarket allot cheaper than OWL, I prefer to get it from a source that I know and trust will provide the highest quality meat for my family. The best part is through watching the videos here I can experience how my beef and pork are raised, what they eat during their time on the ranch, and how the family that raised them cared for them. At our table we always give thanks to God for providing our meals. And I personally thank Mike and his family for doing the same.

Great explanation, as always Mike! Thanks for explaining and giving us an insight of what you at OWL do, very impressive. Thanks also for bringing us along with all you do. Have a great evening!

Thank you for actually being real which is one of the many reasons me and all your subscribers are still here, food in this country and the way its produced is changing whether "they" like it or not. Thank You

This was an excellent presentation, very interesting and I learned a lot. I'm really happy you are doing more in depth videos because after I heard 14, 000 + dollars for you I realized why meat is so expensive. I haven't bought from your store before because it seemed expensive but your breakdown puts that in perspective. So now I am on the way to the store ... YOURS!
Thanks Mike, Erin, and Carrie.

Minor stroke😆

We buy a low line Angus from a friend who does vertical integration as well. Each cow/steer stays on their small farm for 18 months. The slaughter truck comes to their farm then delivers the carcass to a small processor. The only difference is that each cow or half is already spoken for. So when the meat comes back the purchasers are there ready to pick up the boxes. I always feel so good when my freezer is full.
