Game pass is so underrated. I got it to try bo6 and realized I can play basically every other game I’ve been wanting to “try” for the past few years such as brotato, DOOM Eternal, superliminal, etc

The physical ownership is still a good argument. It’s DOES NOT apply to service games like COD and others. So for a game like this Gamepass really is the best way to play COD.
But especially most single player games I go physical. Games that have offline capabilities you don’t need to be online to install and play them. You just can’t update the game if there were any.

To be fair, 10 years ago games used to be around $60 and part of the price was because the companies had to make a physical disk, and distribute those disks to places to be sold. Now that these companies dont have to spend so much money on making physical copies and distribution the price shouldve gone down, but its for some reason gone up

There's two reasons why buying is better:

1.) You get to own a copy of the game so technically no one can stop you from playing it unless you get banned for being and outlaw or something and you get to keep it forever in a limited price. Game pass users end up paying multiple times for the same game. (It's a good way to explore games tho ngl)

2.) You can play your games without being logged into your Xbox account and you can play them offline. (Will agree cloud gaming is also a cool feature but not for games you want to keep forvever)

Physical games can be installed and played completely offline as long as its not specified as an online only game. The only downside of playing offline is that you will miss out on updates and patches for the game.
