The topic of today's lesson is madd lazem. The word madd lazem means necessary madd, or madatory madd, because all scholars agree on the necessity of this madd. We also make use of the knowledge we've built up in the previous lessons and specially Natural madd.

I scrolled the entire Surah in the arabic mushaf to see if I could recognize how the ayat would start. Alhamdulillah! Ayah 110 an Ayah 144. Shukran for such great instruction.

١) كُنۡتُمۡ خَيۡرَ اُمَّةٍ اُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ تَاۡمُرُوۡنَ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ الۡمُنۡكَرِ وَتُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ‌ؕ وَلَوۡ اٰمَنَ اَهۡلُ الۡكِتٰبِ لَڪَانَ خَيۡرًا لَّهُمۡ‌ؕ مِنۡهُمُ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ وَاَكۡثَرُهُمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَ‏ ~(سورة آل عمران، آيه_110)

٢) وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ اِلَّا رَسُوۡلٌ  ۚ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِ الرُّسُلُ‌ؕ اَفَا۟ئِنْ مَّاتَ اَوۡ قُتِلَ انْقَلَبۡتُمۡ عَلٰٓى اَعۡقَابِكُمۡ‌ؕ وَمَنۡ يَّنۡقَلِبۡ عَلٰى عَقِبَيۡهِ فَلَنۡ يَّضُرَّ اللّٰهَ شَيۡــئًا‌ ؕ وَسَيَجۡزِى اللّٰهُ الشّٰكِرِيۡنَ ~ (آيه_144)
