Clip Studio Paint is one of the most robust painting programs I've ever used. But it can be a little overwhelming at first glance, so my aim for this tutorial is to help beginners distinguish which parts of Clip Studio's user interface they need to know so they can get started drawing right away.

I just picked up clip studio and I haven't done digital art since the mid 2000s with a bootleg copy of PS7. This guide and the other video you did on useful tools has been soooo helpful!! You presented it very well and I am looking forward to applying this information to my next piece.

FYI: the Modeller is kind of a misnomer. You can't model anything in it, like you would in any 3D software. It just allows you to set up an existing model. However, personally, I never understood it's purpose. Any 3D object that is in .OBJ or .STL format can be dragged directly on the canvas, which automatically creates the relevant perspective ruler. Try to keep the model as low poly as possible, because large and detailed models will bring CSP to a halt if you're not careful.

Thank you for sharing! I’m impressed with how much useful information you covered in so little time. What I really want to learn next is everything there is to know about Clip Studio’s *vector tools* and also their *3D tools.*

I've watched your video about cool subtools in CSP and you explained it so well. I finally lost my fear and started to watch tutorials to use CSP but with the inumerous updates the platforms is quite a bit different and I was starting to panick until I searched for recent videos and seeing it was yours I calmed down a bit
Also a suggestion: Could you make a video about keybuttons and shortcuts you think are good for us to have in CSP ? I would love that. And sadly I'm not finding the video you said you talked about folders ....

I believe the issue is not just the overwhelming amount of stuffs available, but that the access to these things are much more complicated - as I just moved to Clip pain from Photoshop.

I really don't wanna stay with what makes me comfortable, since I know Clip paint will be better for me on the long run. But, GOD, it's so much to take in! The shortcuts are awfully complicated.

Got any advice to basically just get used to it or if we can copy Photoshop's shortcuts in any way..? To not feel overwhelmed, I mean.

Nice tutorial, by the way!

Thank you very much for explaining each tool in detail. I was confused about how each of them will work. Can you make a tutorial on how you draw faces, body shapes, and other kinds of stuff in CSP? It would mean a lot also would help me.

3:00 "I tend to leave 'Paper Color' unchecked so we can have a transparent background if we need it"
13:30 "My first step whenever I start a new drawing is to select white on the color wheel and fill in the background white"
I am screaming hahaha

Thank you! Finally a good tutorial on CPS - clear, easy to follow (even if you never touched CPS before), complete and coherent. As some other users pointed out here, it doesn't intimidate, it helps to understand and encourages to try.
Note to CPS: I can't believe THIS is not your official tutorial! Please, get rid of that Italian chick (from Lucca manga school) who (draws well, but) doesn't explain shit (and is not very good with English), and use this instead for the benefit of all.

Hey, so I downloaded clip studio paint, I enrolled and paid a year in advance for the subscription EX edition't. and now I have a question do you know why the quality is so poor it looks choppy, like colours or material ??? and when I zoom and it's even worse, I don't know if it's the material because some of the things I was reading on the assets and tips page it was saying that some material people were downloading was not good quality however, I don't think I've really used any of the downloaded material except for silk hair and that actually was the one thing that was good quality, so do you know why this may be s it because I didn't set my workspace background at 300 dpi to start?? Still learning in this journey as I have always been a writer but recently I realized my creative passion ran so much deeper than that and I actually had alot of hidden skills I didnt believe were there!!!
I use a macbook pro brand new 2023 16in max m2 and a 3rd gen 12.9 ipad pro both see to have this issue
