These are the top 5 passenger air craft steep take off. These plane took off at critical angle climbing steeply with out stalling.

There was an error during editing this video, The “C5” in this video is actually a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III . We deeply apologize for the mistake.

My experience. I was in a 737 coming in on a long final into Dallas and at about 300 AGL, there was a runway incursion. The pilot spun up the engine beyond anything I've ever experienced in my life and pulled the hardest 60+ degree I've ever felt outside my own aircraft. I had no idea they could do that, but just saying, there are a few notches above full throttle that we seldom experience. I developed a solid respect for the 737 after that.

When the airforce pilot doesn't realize he's driving a commercial plane.

For anyone confused why these aircraft aren't stalling, it's because they're *not* reaching their critical angle of attack. The AoA is the angle between, essentially, the wing's chord and the relative wind. The relative wind shifts as you *gradually* change your pitch, which also changes your thrust vector. If they pitch up too quickly, they will definitely interrupt airflow over the wings and stall. But so long as you do it smoothly enough that your vector keeps up, and your thrust is sufficient to maintain the necessary airspeed at a given attitude, you won't stall. Of course, none of these planes can climb that steeply indefinitely, so they all level off before running out of energy. Only something like a rocket or F-15 with thrust to weight ratio over 1.0 can keep climbing vertically.

Seeing these, I’m glad for once that I’m in my bed and I’m in lockdown.

I use to impress my fellow pilots with my 1941 J-3 Cub at the now defunct Meadowlark Airport, Huntington Beach, California. It's called a zoom climb. I would do a takeoff roll, fly down the runway in ground effect to the end of the runway. At that point my airspeed was about 90 mph, about twice needed for straight and level flight. I then pulled the nose up and climbed very steeply, near vertically, bleeding airspeed for the steep climb to maybe 100 feet altitude. Full stick forward rotated pitch to level flight at the top. You've got to do it right or risk an aerodynamic stall and a catastrophic "tail slide, " I had more guts than common sense back then (c. 1970). But, I'm still alive today to celebrate my glory days.

just imagining how the passengers bear that much G force. . .

737 MAX 8: *vertical takeoff*
Stall: I'm about to end this aircraft whole career
MCAS: I'm gonna stop you right there
Faulty part of MCAS: Now this looks like a job for me

the 787 is an absolute masterpiece of aviation, a true work of art!

Instead of this crap music, my ears would prefer the superb sound of the plane's engine...

“top 5 passenger aircraft vertical takeoffs”, *shows c17 and calls it a c5*

I wonder how many of you realise exactly how hard these take offs are for a passenger plane. Nothing short of amazing 😲

Number 2 and 1 were awesome showing that kind of thrust, then lifting off like that. And the sun glistening off the wings of #1, absolutely beautiful!

A few years ago, we were at the airshow at RAF Cosford. They had a DHL or Fedex cargo plane (757 possibly ? Memory's not that good these days) pulling maneuvers we'd just seen the jet fighters perform. They did a "touch and go" where they landed but took off again going almost vertical. The crowd were amazed at the whole performance. I was cringing, waiting for the wings to be ripped off, or the aircraft to stall and crash in a huge fireball.

I think the commercial airliners are being tested, no passengers!New Models being tested for manoeuvrability and aerodynamics.
