My Favorite Lake to Fish for Large Mouth Bass in Utah.

The day before, we fished Strawberry with little success. we spent the night at the cabin with high hopes to have a better day fishing in the morning. I had heard That Pelican Lake was fishing really good right know. so we decided to drive the extra hour and half to try it out. It was our first time ever fishing this lake. I love fishing for bass and quickly learn there are a ton of bass and blue gill in this lake. A few years earlier the division of wildlife killed the lake off because the carp had over run the lake and make the lake almost unbearable to fish. (so I heard)
The fishing to our surprise was amazing and fast. we didn't take long to start catching bass. in fact Easton caught a few fish from the shore while I was preparing the Kayaks.
I dare Say this lake is a sleeper lake and gem to Utah and the most underrated lakes right know. I will say its the best Large mouth Bass Fishery's in the state!

We were up there last week and did really well using swim baits! Great place for bass, great report! What was that plastic you were using?

At strawberry find a drop off point that goes from say 20 - 25 ft down to 30-35 ft. And use a white tube jig tipped with nightcrawler and try and fish the bottom, it works for cutts and bows. For specifically rainbows use a small gulp minnow on a drop shot in the same areas
