When I was in split I quickly learned to just order the house wine. A lot of family restaurants also have their own little vineyard so even the house wine is amazing.

Watching this during quarantine makes me feel sad. I’m looking forward to be able to travel again!

If you are ever in split i recommended taking a trip to trogir, up near the airport. It's worth seeing. Same with the roman ruins in solin. Been there twice. Was there in the 90s when I was in the army and last year for a holiday. Can't wait to go back

I went to go see an Iron Maiden concert at Split in 2016, the best time of my life seeing that beautiful city and seeing my favorite band for the first time, the fans there are crazy.

I enjoy your travel videos, especially now that we can't travel. Crostia is on my bucket list, Split & Dubrovnik.
My family is Italian American and we make, what we call, spinach pies, like the spinach wrapped in dough that y mentioned. It is so good.
May u & your family be safe.

how funny, just booked a 7 day trip to Split in September, you were the first one on YouTube to look for recommendations, as always, and just seen that you literally posted a video about Split . Love your do and don'ts. Thank you for your great work😉😉

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Enjoyed our visit. After doing the 'touristy' stuff we enjoyed grabbing a cheap slice of pizza and just sitting around the waterfront watching ships and people. The little farmer's market nearby was also fun to walk through.

I use to fly seaplanes from the port of Split! Loved living in Croatia! I always recommend going to Croatia and Split to anyone that asks. Don’t forget to check out Kliss and Trogir if you are in the area.

We went there last year, flew from Zagreb just for the day, wish we had more time. Beautiful little place.

Split is one of my favourite cities in Europe. We stumbled across one of the best vegan cafés I've been too, right in the middle of the Diocletian's Palace. Wish I could remember its name! Fab beet burgers though. The local ferries in Croatia are excellent, cheap and great service to the surrounding islands. BTW, if you are staying in beautiful Bol on the island of Brac you can now catch a ferry direct from the airport to Bol instead of having to travel from the airport to Split harbour to catch one from there. Going direct saves a lot of time and money 😊

My brother and I were in Split for a couple days last year. It was amazing! The food was so good and the people were very friendly. We'll definitely be going back.

Split and Dubrovnik were my favorites in Croatia when we visited a couple of years ago. We had a fantastic guide that really brought the history of the area to life. Would love to go back some day. Thank you for this!

That local stuff ( like two pizza slices, inside is : fried swiss chard, olive oil, fried garlic and onion, salt and peper ) is called Soparnik.
Thank You for the great video of my hometown. 🙂

Yes, city pride. A gorgeous bartender in Vienna was from Split and talked my ear off for over an hour about her city. I told her that I'm definitely considering a visit to which she said "You'll love it. Most of the women there look like me." 😳
