We get huntsman spiders quite often in South Africa. I was actually also bitten by one in my bed. Was a bite on my knee. Hurt for days after

To make it even more confusing, how about calling the trap jaws "The Huntsmen", in honour of that huntsman spider, and because they already have their own bear trap.

As an Aussie, I use to live out in the bush and chasing the massive ones to try and get them out of my house was a nightmare. Those things are FAST. This lady is rather small, but she's still gorgeous :)

Aussie here. huntsmen spiders are probably the most chill spiders to have around the house.

Spiders are very good at conserving energy. Lots of spiders don’t eat ants anyway because of the formic acid.

As for the bite/sting, I vote for the ant sting; as far as I know, huntsman spiders rarely bite humans. Their main defense is flight and would be unlikely to bite unless crushed against you.

Name the Queen: Ursa
Not only is it the name of a royal of the Fire Nation from Avatar the Last Airbender, but it's also a bear constellation up in the night sky (and Latin for bear). A nod to both the fact it bit/stung you at night, and that they have BEAR trap jaws.

I can imagine you like standing In the corner of your room with like a plastic container trying to catch the spider with eyes red from not blinking. You reach out to grab it and it like zooms under your bedframe, I would lose my cool for sure. Props man! Your videos are always super entertaining
