Couple Had To Call 911 After Their Cat's Vicious Attack | My Cat From Hell

Jackson faces one of the most difficult cases he's ever seen while helping Lee and Teresa, who called 911 on their cat Lux. After their son Jesse pulled on Lux's tail, he got clawed.

Did a bit of searching and Lux ended up attacking multiple times at his new foster home (the foster mum writes a blog and wrote the full run down of what happened). Foster couple really tried with him but he attacked badly and it was determined in the end he wasn’t safe to be in an actual home at all.

Lux after lots of tests, medical intervention and strange aggressive episodes ended up at a cat sanctuary after it was determined he has an organic mental illness with behaviour issues. He is off all meds and is behaving fairly well and is happy at the sanctuary where they can closely control stimulus around him to help prevent setting off any episodes.

I found it interesting that Lux was the only kitten out of the litter that mum rejected, nature’s instinct when something is off. It sounds like the foster family, Jackson and the medical team he brought in tried extremely hard to help Lux but it was not a straightforward case in the end with not perfect ending but it says he has a good and happy life.

Kudos to the pet owners for not operating selfishly. They made the right choice for their cat and their child.

UPDATE- Lux had to be removed from the foster home since Lux bit his caretaker out of the blue. She was too sacred to live with Lux. Lux was then moved to an animal sanctuary where he lived for 4 years. He was eventually rehabilitated and in 2018 one of the workers at the sanctuary adopted him. Lux is now living a normal life in his forever home!!!

It broke my heart when Theresa said "oh, Lux" after she heard that her cat had "snapped" at his foster family's home.

i was wondering when a snippet on Lux would be posted.
for those wondering, Lux began really acting out when the two parents got together. in a post some years ago, she'd mentioned that she and her child's father were no longer together, and she often thought about what happened in the house while she was away. it's implied she suspects that her ex abused Lux. she's also stated that she thinks about Lux often and misses him, but is happy that he's in the care of capable, loving people

It is so rare to see Jackson recommend a rehoming. Of course, it's also pretty rare to have a cat/owner dynamic that can't be fixed with a bit of teaching on behaviors or adapting the space/habits to the cat's needs better.

I commend the original owner for doing the right thing and re-homing him.

We "inherited" a similar cat from my niece, who was about to have a baby and was afraid his aggression might cause him to claw their baby. He's still mentally unstable, but has calmed down a lot being in an environment where no one is "afraid" of him.

Sad thing about this is the original owner came out and said she had the cat for 4 years with no issues. The issues started shortly after her now ex-husband moved in, she admitted that he was abusive towards her and that she often left Lux alone with him and suspects that he may have been abusive towards the cat as well. 😢

Update from original owner. She divorced this guy. She said that he hated Lux and would scream at her to get rid of him. He didn't behave this way until after this guy moved in. She didn't say this on the show to protect him. Before that she had bottle fed him from birth and he was her best friend for 4years. He probably got kicked a lot and she was out of town of and on. She thinks he did something. I'm guessing his true self came out later on her.

I have a feeling that Jackson knew something was not right with what this couple was telling him and that his suggestion to re-home the cat was for the safety of the cat and not the couple.

cats usually let kid's aggressiveness slide unless they're already under enough pressure. I've seen them getting their ears pulled, held tightly by kids but they didn't do anything. cats are actually pretty understanding

At first I thought the lady was totally the problem, but I think the Cats odd behavior has made her over nervous and not helping an emotional animal like a cat... she has a baby and don't want to rehome.. how heart breaking for her!!!!
