riser draw explains a lot of those SATA cable fire issues people have... 75W is a LOT to be chucking through such thin gauge cabling

You probably already done it... have you tried cleaning the PCIE pins on Radeon 7? Look at it with magnifying glass. Then put it on the PCIE riser with that power meter and see if Radeon7 is also pulling 75 watt out of the riser.

I use almost the same red devil 5700 for mining and gaming (mines an xt). Excellent older card that am glad I have!

PCIe 16x always demand 75 watts. 8pin & 6pin and the combination always were and are supplementary.
Sata power gives around 49 watts. Thats why we dont use it for the raisers

congrats bro, I always wondered why they even put those switches on GPU they seem pointless. just put them in OC mode no switch and 1 less thing for them so solder on the board

My asus 5700xt is like half bricked. Several weeks ago it started acting funny. It shows video through hdmi just fine, but when I set it to mine it (falsely) shows several hundred thousand mh/s for a couple minutes then it crashes

Glad it was a switch RPM, things can be a pain when they go wrong for some reason, memory\power or the main gpu chip goes pop, I have a 1070 gigabyte repairing at the moment, this one power issue, nice vids as usual rpm

Hello Red Panda ! Radeon Vll have bad memory . easy to fix. only the memory bank needs to be replaced. 1 or 2 memory bank.

interested to see if they fix the error 43 r7 in win. 2 of my 3060s pooped out when i moved them from one machine to another and now.. Neither will work on a riser now giving error 43 in win, and freezes as soon as the nvidia drivers load on hiveos, but both work fine if plugged directly into the mobos o.O
