MH370 mystery ‘solved’ by Aussie scientist, hiding place revealed | Yahoo Australia

10 years after the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines flight, Tasmanian Vincent Lyne claims he knows the location of MH370, with a 2021 research paper of his being accepted into the Journal of Navigation.

Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Mr Lyne said, “This work changes the narrative of MH370’s disappearance from one of no-blame… to a mastermind pilot almost executing an incredible perfect disappearance in the Southern Indian Ocean.”

Mr Lyne said damage to the plane’s wings, flaps and flaperon suggest it was involved in a “controlled ditching”, similar to that of Captain Sully on the Hudson River in 2009.

He said, “This justifies beyond doubt… that MH370 had fuel and running engines when it underwent a masterful ‘controlled ditching’ and not a high-speed fuel-starved crash.”

The researcher claims the plane is “where the longitude of Penang airport intersects the Pilot-in-Command home simulator track discovered and discarded by the FBI and officials as ‘irrelevant’.”

Mr Lyne added, “That premeditated iconic location harbours a very deep 6000m hole at the eastern end of the Broken Ridge… With narrow steep sides, surrounded by massive ridges and other deep holes, it is [a] perfect ‘hiding’ place.”

He went on to reveal “as far as science is concerned” this is “unmistakably” where the missing plane lies. He said, “In short, the MH370 mystery has been comprehensively solved in science!”

This is either shoddy reporting or abysmal "science."

The news just said that the pilot probably brought the plane down at that spot on purpose. So I ask myself, why? Did they want to cover something up? Should something disappear from humanity forever? Something that was never supposed to be found?

Another theory - yes, peer reviewed, that makes it standing out from others, but what really happened can be revealed only once the plane is found and its recorders examined.

What I think is that it's time to look at the plane again and search where scientists think the plane is. The rest remains just theoretical as long as nothing's happens

This item is a challenge/accusation of denial/bias by other investigators in charge of the search to date, who favor "ghost" flight. Lyne probably getting closer to the truth: likely a nefarious plan to hide the aircraft far from Arc7. Many have long felt Broken Ridge could be the nefarious plan. Vincent is suggesting that the data (BTO/BFO/Debris drift) supports that. and my calcs say he may well be correct. Of course there has always been energetic denial of the deliberate flight explanation. We probably will never find MH370 if we continue to be defensive about admitting the likely truth. OK but we do not know exact location - no flight data after Arc7 - only educated guess.

Science is okay for ten years then somebody else appears and declares thats wrong and here`s what happened. From flat earth to round and back to flat then everyone knows round. because they have SEEN IT.

Somehow I want to believe the man and hope that the wreckage will finally be found. I've been following this since it happened. At least this message is something new and different from the usual messages and emails that reach me at “MH370”...

We really do require a solution to this puzzle bc there are some pretty wild theories going around and they're not going away until the wreckage is fully found. I've seen pictures of fragments of this plane but with very little official statement. Conspiracy theories have taken over the dialogue in 2024.
