So I don't have a grill (apartment life) and did this in the oven. This was, the juiciest, most flavorful chicken that has ever left my kitchen. Thanks Chef John, as always!!

Synchronicity is at work for me here. Just last night I ate the last pickle in the jar, and instead of pouring out the brine and throwing it away like I usually do, I thought "There must be a use for all that pickle-ey goodness." And, it turns out, there is. Thanks, Chef John. :)

My husband was sceptical, but I made this with juice from my homemade brined dill pickles. AMAZING taste, incredibly juicy, so easy!

came back to this one Chef John to say I've made this several times, once using green olive pickle brine; once I cubed the breasts up and made the best chicken salad, once made shredded chicken tacos; this is a goto for me and no pickle brine is wasted any longer 😋

Just a warning to anyone about to attempt this outside of America.
Just because John says pickle a lot, doesn't mean he's using cucumbers pickled in vinegar (which is the only kind sold in lots of places). These are in brine. I know the video and title states this clearly, but a lot of people probably don't know the various types of pickling, and may just think "Okay, pickle juice! Easy!". In the UK, try a Polish store, they might have brine pickled gherkins.

I made this a few days ago and it was amazing. Forgot about the Aioli until the end and just ended up mixing together with a fork. Was still good and the chicken was amazing.

I love the taste of a pickle juice brined chicken breast.  I use a plastic bag instead of a bowl for the brining process so that I can use a bit less pickle juice and still have the meat all submerged.  Also we have been eating more pickles than ever around here.  Love all your great ideas chef John, looking forward to the next video.

I know this is an old video, but I tried it today along with the Garlic Aioli Sauce. Came out very good and delicious. I will have to work on the Aioli, it wasn't as thick as in the video, but still good. Ron

These videos are fantastic. Play them at half speed for the most inebriated chef in the world.

I have half a jar of pickled peppercini juice I’ve been trying to figure out what to with it. I love that juice so much I’ve been sipping it from time to time 😂
I’m making this with that!!! Should be similar. ❤️
Interesting it’s important to dry the meat to keep it moist (when cooking). “There’s a OLD saying I just made up”…. 😂.
I need to watch the grill mark video! I never get cool grill marks. I’m guessing you shouldn’t put your grill pan in the dishwasher after every use….

You are the Lenny Bruce of your pickle juice - the Adam Levine of your grill and brine.

This is great! I have been looking for a recipe that uses pickle juice for a long time! It always seems like such a shame to dump those really flavorful juices down the drain!
