Sidious can hook Vader up with an advanced exoskeleton but the best he can do now is attach a wheelchair to a crane. Truly a mastermind.

"Sidious snatches defeat from the jaws of victory."

Favorite line 😂

Somehow the line "Somehow Palpatine survived." made it into film.

Still can't believe a writer wrote the line "they don't know which way is up and their shields don't work in atmosphere" in a sci-fi space movie.

The sad thing about the First Order is that exploring the power vacuum left over from the death of the Emperor and Vader could have been a fascinating story. How did he come to control the remnants of the Empire? How did he corrupt young Kylo? How did he become so powerful? Was he in fact Darth Plagueis? So many questions and so much potential pissed up the wall by the clone retcon. What a waste.

I will never drop the fact that the Gungans in episode one had functioning shield technology in atmosphere and the Final Order in episode nine do not. The Gungans had superior shields 60 something years earlier. Imagine losing out in tech -to the Gungans-.

Kylo Ren and Hux were actually supposed to be of equal rank in contrast to the structure of the Galactic Empire in the original trilogy. But Rian Johnson decided to retcon that dichotomy because he thought it was funny.

Palpatine: "I am now living on in my granddaughter's body."

Ra's al Ghul from the DCAU: "Nice."

One difference between Endor and Exogol is that when Palps goaded the Rebels into attacking the Death Star II he at least deceived the Rebels into believing it wasn't "fully armed and operational" like it was.

My favourite part about the First Order is that in episode IX they are just gone, they took over the Galaxy in a week but by the end of the movie they are depicted as if they were defeated without losing a single ship.

The sequel triology makes the original pointless:
Palpatine is alive.
The empire wasn't destroyed.
The New Republic was a failure and easily destroyed.
Weapons that destroy planets are very easy to made (and destroy) so it doesn't matter if they destroyed the 2nd Death Star.
The Jedi Order wasn't rebuild...

Your interpretation of Papa Palpatine actually taking control of Rey's body at the end would be a far more interesting ending.

The First Orders biggest issue was that Disney’s executives decided to rush them out without properly planning out their story, ideals or structure. They were sadly half baked but could’ve been something amazing.

You know… if Palpatine’s body was non-functional, why didn’t he just build himself an exoskeleton? Robotics and prosthetics are super advanced in Star Wars. In fact, disregard the exoskeleton, why didn’t he build a giant droid army again but this time not purposely sabotage himself? Palpatine is a great villain and all, but it seems that he does everything in his power to cause the most amount of casualties and then lose.

It was so much more interesting to have Vader being subordinate to that admiral dude in A New Hope. And it was clear that Vader could end any of them. It implied a properly enforced hierarchy with someone bad enough to make even Vader play nice.

''Up. Their ships do not know which way is up.'' - The Final Order encapsulated into a single sentence.

You forgot to mention that Rey somehow knows how to swim dispite living basically her whole life on a desert world.

Honestly, this entire sequel trilogy would have been much better had it been an adaptation of the Thrawn Trilogy novels. Thrawn actually knew what he was doing and how to run things since he promotes and rewards self-improvement and cooperation between his minions. He has his own set of problems just like any character, but he is far more competent than any of these clowns.

Amazingly, Sidious looted the empire he already ruled to fund the creation of a superweapons program meant to burn the galaxy to the ground in the event of his death (even when he hadn't actually died as it turned out), fund the creation of the first order, and a different group, and a bunch of superweapons that do the exact same thing as each other...

...when he could have just used those resources to support the empire he already ruled...

Kylo's incompetence is even worse considering he's 29-30 getting outsmarted by a 19yr old with no experience with anything lol
