Okay, weird compliment here. This was a really well done conversation with yourself. Most times I see things like this, it feels unnatural. The pacing in this was cut really well and you did nice interjections.

It's the small things like that in video production that most people don't notice, but still feel. I appreciate the bit of extra effort :)

One more super important tip not mentioned here. You want to start your swing by jumping from the ground into an active hang. Doing that, you're giving yourself more strength required for completing the transition instead of wasting your energy for additional pull from the dead hang.

yeah, if you're too weak, yes, thats the strategy.
But, do your workouts enough, eventually, you'll be able to do a slow, controlled, pullup into over bar. It takes a lot more strength, more control.

what you're doing, is using momentum to do the work for you.

I like to think I’m decently strong. I can even do pretty heavy weighted pull ups. However, I’ve been trying for months to do muscle ups. I watched your video and I got it first try. AMAZING explanation man thank you!!!

I've been trying on and off for years to get these and this helped me finally get it! The only other cue I'd add is think about starting your pull before you drive up your knees, otherwise this video is perfect. Thank you!!
