Is electrical engineering for you? Is it a good career? While there are many great career paths in electrical engineering, this major is not for everyone -- for many students, it may be better to study something else like software.

Students wonder; is electrical engineering worth it? Is electrical engineering a good career? Is electrical engineering right for me? Those are questions I am to answer in this video.

I went through the same thought process to decide my major. I ended up not wanting to focus only on programming and deciding on EE. So far I love it!

"The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane."
- Nikola Tesla

Be interested in what you'd like to know about, research about major you want study, ask people, and try yourself... And don't tell nobody about your secret dreams, even if you want to become an engineer or whatever, do what you think is good for yourself.

Ali great video as always ❤️
Need more quality content like these videos 😊

I studied electrical engineering and what I liked the most was modelling physical systems. Unfortunately I didnt have the chance to work in a related área. Nowadays my interests have changed

Did I hear you right.? Did you say you can get a job easier if your a software engineer then if you are an EE major .? Not sure if that’s true looking at how many people are getting in CS major which means it will be more competition for those CS majors to get a job, while EE has less people majoring in it and from logical view less people majoring it means you have a higher chance of getting a job. Am I wrong or right.? I might be wrong tell me, lol.

I'm 28 years old, and just got accepted to university for EE. I haven't practiced math in 9 years, so it's a little intimidating. Do you have any advice or resources you would recommend for someone who is passionate enough to learn, but doesn't know where to start preparation?

in srilanka from my school friend suggest me to go it field (soft eng) when i asking about his job as he undergraduate electrical and power systems.
in highschool my math is very poor and hate it but falling love with electronics specially schematics i also didn't spend like building stuff but my passion is to understand electronic principles .unfortunately there were no place without mathematics get in.
i didn't have clear pathway to do at least to go technical college so i quite
after 7 years i couldn't work any job i go through my mind always push me to do my desired path finally i made desition to enter technical college for study electronics it take 2 years nvq certificate .everyone blame me because of quitting 5 star hotel waiter job.
but very soon i noticed there were no many jobs in this field eventhough i like it and i don't have money to spend laks of rupees for private digree
i am really disappointed in the mean time i also followed khan academy math lesson from kindergarten leval. after laddering up i freaking loved with math i realize poor teaching lead me to get bad grade in school.
my family push me to go abroad but my desired doesn't fade
however i also realize that my favorable field has very few demand in future as compare to software engineer which don't much like but curious i heard that really easy to get high paying job that field but it also take to spend money to completion.
so i decided to abroad and save some money after comeback to srilanka i'll complete java course and get a part time job and study electronics engineering. so if i get underpaying job in electronics i have savior job as a software developer.

In my country people do electrical engineering then get an MBA and somehow end up in management marketing and sales .. Go figure

A lot of people don't understand that software engineering is knowing how to code + being smart and creative. NOT having a computer science degree. Those two things are something that all electrical engineers are trained to have. Most other engineering majors are as well. Some companies actually prefer to hire engineering and physics majors over CS majors for software positions for this reason. CS is only good if 1. You really like programming and want to be the best at it. Or 2. Money is the most important priority to you especially considering CS can be easier for some people compared to engineering.

Hmm, 2600 views but 50 comments. This seems very suspicious.
