How to Change Last Modified Date, Creation Date, Accessed Date of any File and Folders on Your PC

In this video I will show you how to change the modification date of a file in Windows. Unfortunately, Windows does not provide native options for changing the date and time attributes of any file.
But I will explain to you how to change the creation date of any file and also how to change the modification date of any file in a very simple way. For example, if you want to modify the date of creation or the date of modification of this file, follow the steps in the video well.

Do you have a Video on using 'Terminal' in Windows 11. I have not been able to find a decent set of Instructions. I start using and IBM 360 back in the 70s and it looks familiar. I have learned, DOS on the IBM 360, next was a System 34 Clone using RPG. Then I had an Osborne 1 using CP/M. Finally in the early 80 I start using MS-DOS. Later I bought an Intel 80286 Computer running Window 3.1 in 1992.

I kept up to date by buying and new Computer with the latest Version till Window 7. I skipped the Window 8 fiasco and resumed with Window 10. My latest was two years ago, a laptop that upgraded to Windows 11 with no problem. However, the Desktop turn out the motherboard was, but. I had to start with a clearing install of Windows 10 from a USB Drive backup I had, after upgrading the motherboard, after I upgraded UEFI-BIOS. Then it upgraded to Windows 11 immediately I had installed Windows 10. The bottom line I had to reinstall my Software all over again, and in most case having to pay upgrade the packages I use.

I did discover that if I typed CMD in the RUN line it brings up the DOS Shell that is still there.

I spend nearly a month upgrade to Window 11 on my Desktop. I talked to at least a dozen 'Experts' from Microsoft, the motherboard people, and Acronis my backup software. None of them could really figure out the problems because they do not talk to each other only at the upper-level IT people.

Just a heads up, if an image there is also a Date Taken field. (might be why some people think it didn't change as the date taken is often what Windows File Explorer typically shows when listing details.

I used this program to change the creation date on a file and it worked. However, when I made some changes, the creation date changed to the date and time I changed that file. Please help, thanks.

It works as long as you don't open the file and see it in the folder you can see date and time has changed.But the minute you open the file and try to check the document properties it shows the original date and time. Not sure if I am missing something.

Does not work on jpg files. Tried multiple ways, including how it was done in the video. The file disappears from its original location and can only be accessed again after exporting it. Once exported the original metadata remains.
