How to list out file and folder by last modified date using Windows command line Dir

Many times I have files of different version in the same folder but with almost the same naming so I needed a way to find the last modified file using commandline. Command line searching is much faster than the gui if you know what command to use

The command to run at the command prompt to list files and folders by

last modified date is :
dir /O:-D

This dos command will show the latest/last modified files/folders at the top
