Present perfect tense = an action that happened in the immediate past or an action that happened in an unspecified time
E.g
I have had my breakfast just now
I have gone to market

Past perfect tense=an action that happened before another action occurred( past of past)

I had had my breakfast by the time she showed up.( here two actions are in the past. 1) You took your breakfast 2), she showed up))

I had gone to market before I lost my key
Two actions are in the past.(1 you went to market. 2) you lost your key)

As a Russian native speaker after 18 years of exposure to English language I have finally understood the difference! PRESENT PERFECT is about an action that has already, wait for it… been done, wait for it!!!!…. IN THE PAST 😂 🤦🏻‍♂️oh my🙏🏻
