Thanks! This is the fastest way to get there that I've seen. If someone reading this doesn't already know, this is called the 'Triangle Inequality Theorem' because it generalizes the more-specific geometric fact that the sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle must be greater than or equal to the length of the remaining side.
