I may have seen one in July of 2010. It went overhead with no sound. It moved around 150mph, and around 1000 feet up. Because it was not meant specifically for me, it had the appearance of a red beach ball illuminated from inside. It happened about 8pm in Centertown, Mo when we were with some friends. Each person around me gave a completely different description of the object...one said it was a plane....another said it was a helicopter....the other said it was a star.... and that tells me that they were not in the proper mental state or belief to see it as I did.

Peacock feathers are referred to as eyes I'm many early writings. The angel described can have feathers like a peacock. We will not know for sure until we are in heaven

IMO when there is a description of eyes covering a celestial being, it is actually a metaphor for being able to see in all directions at once. Many people who have had near death experiences have described the same thing, it's not a big stretch to think that the holy people who wrote the texts had a similar experience that would be very difficult to describe.
