Why Bible Accurate Angels Are So Creepy

Ever wondered why Bible accurate angels look so creepy? Instead of those beautiful, angelic, humanoids the bible depicts bizarre animal/human hybrids, fiery winged beasts and wheels made of eyes. It isn't certain, but most believe that they are descendants of mythical beasts across the Ancient Near East.

When people say their children are angels, be afraid. Be very very afraid.

There's a reason the angels almost always tell people "Be not afraid." or more likely "Sto...stop screaming." when they appeared to people in scriptures...

To be fair, even when under a human form angels are described as having an off aura and an appearance so unnaturally beautiful they reach the uncanny valley.

Theologically, angels don't actually have physical bodies. They present themselves in these forms because its the only way humans could possibly comprehend angels.

I do wonder about things like "covered in eyes", were they actual eyes or was "eyes" the closest description that could be thought of? Then we re-draw them from the literary description and make something creepy.
