My favorite scene of the movie. The acting, the intensity, the pacing, the music; perfect. I love the silence effect when Peter cries Edmund's name. Also, nobody would expect Peter to beat the Witch in a fight, that's not the point. The point is he attacks her anyway, which shows his courage, as well as his rage and grief. Those emotions are all believable here. Great acting by William Moseley.

I like that Jadis can sword fight and use magic. most witches in movies only use magic and they never fight someone directly, but not Jadis. she can do both. That's pretty awesome

0:40 I love how you can see that nothing will stop Peter from avenging Edmund

Considering how inexperienced Peter is, he holds up against Jadis fairly well.

Gotta give Edmund credit for shattering Jadis's staff with one sword strike.

I love Edmund so much he is a true hero. He was SO brave even though Peter told him to get their sisters and go home but Edmund thought he was brave enough to fight The White Witch himself...So BRAVE! Edmund is an awesome character.

Edmund is the only one who even got close to hurting the witch.

This scene brings tears to my eyes...when I first saw the film in theaters as a kid, seeing Edmund and Peter sacrifice everything for each other inspired me to be a better sibling to my own brother. Now we are grown adults and the best of friends. The power of siblings can overcome any obstacle.

I love how badass Jadis is. I mean she's older than Narnia by eons and still fights like a badass

People tend to forget Edmund's heroic act in this scene

The expression on Jadis' face when she stabbed Edmund was one of pure hatred! I don't think I've ever seen such a hate filled expression before. Tilda Swinton's not my favourite actress - that honour goes to Jenna Coleman - but bloody hell that is what murderous loathing looks like! Jadis was a real badass in this movie!

Adding insult to injury, Jadis is wearing Aslan's mane

I love the way Edmund swooped in on her, taking her completely by surprise,  and knew to break her wand! And then Peter, shocked and angered when she stabs his brother, his attitude is like, "That's it! NO MORE GAMES, YOU WITCH!!!"

Okay I gotta say, Jadis is the villain and all? But I have to admit she's so badass. Hell she only does one spin. So elegant, so precise-just amazing to watch.

When she says "Impossible, " it takes me back to when Susan says "Impossible." right when they enter Narnia. I don't know if it's significant, but that's what it reminded me of.

Usually slow motion running scenes come out cheesy and corny because of how overdone they are . . . . maybe it's the beautiful music, maybe it's the emotion on Peter's face before he starts running, but I absolutely love this moment. You can tell how much Peter loves his siblings, how much he strives to be the best older brother he can be. I love his character. Absolutely wonderful. <3 Good job to William Moseley. I wish he would play more characters like Peter

Notice how Jadis kinda spun the sword out of Edmund’s hands and how Edmund uses the same manoeuvre in Prince Caspian against Trumpkin? He learns from his enemies and even though he hates her, he learnt a good skill from her.
