I started beach read a while ago and just really wasn’t enjoying it so I put it down. Then I needed to read it to fulfill a readathon prompt and LOVED it the second time around!!! So weird how our moods/mindset affects how we enjoy certain books

Beach read starts slow but believe ME it gets better and better and better I just wanted it to keep going😭😭😭it was worth it and it was so GOOD, January’s fathers letters broke my heart🥲 and the ending is ughh so GOOD💗😭I love GUS the way he speaks to January and opens up about everything🥺it was amazing and just the way he talks is so ughh😩” I’ve never met someone who is so perfectly my favorite person” and when he said “I don’t need snowflakes..as long as there’s January 🥺😭🦋”

A book I really loved was the 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo, it was just so well written and it’s definitely one of my favorite books now

I really loved beach read but perhaps it is not for everyone (as most books) I liked the love interest bc he reminds me of jess mariano from gilmore girls and this quote “When I watch you sleep, I feel overwhelmed that you exist.” made me read it. But I did not read it bc of booktok, I gave up taking recs from them, booktwt has given me better ones lately

A thousand boy kisses made me cry so bad BUT I have a love/hate relationship with that book specifically because of Poppy, she’s so annoying and the literal definitions of a manic pixie dream girl and Rune had no reason for being a bad boy that was so out of line 😩

As for Beach Read:
For me it was the same at the beginning and I really had to fight my way through it but in the end it was so worth it! I just can‘t stop thinking about this book, the characters and their relationship… It was just overall perfect in the end but definitely with a touch start!
My first language is also german and I‘ve read this book in english and personally I feel like her writing style is a bit complicated… I‘ve read lots of english books but this was the first one where I struggled a bit which was also a reason why I was stuck in a reading slump… but only at the beginning!
It‘s definitely worth ih! Go read it!! 🥰
