Today I stack 3 overdrive pedals and see what kind of bass tones I can get with them. Some combinations sound better than others so let me know in the comments what one you liked the most.

The boss into the darkglass is probably the nastiest bass tone i think i'd actually use.

10 years ago I had an Odb3. That gave me all kinds of satisfactions. then I got an Alpha Omega Ultra. That's a very good unit, but the boss was staring sadly at me from the bass case. Then I tried to stack it before the darkglass to tame some of the muddy sub frequencies and get that extra edge. Man.... That sounded huge.

Awesome demo. 😎🤘🏻🎸each pedal sounds killer on their own. The combination I like is the boss odb-3 and the darkglass alpha-omnicron. It has a killer high gained distortion sound. I also like how the horizon overdrive sounds with the darkglass alpha-omnicron. It has a killer grinding sound. I’m a huge darkglass fan. I own a couple and they sound phenomenal.

ODB-3 is such a Monster. Thank you for this nice video bro, i am currently trying to decide among B7K and AΩ, and i already own the yellow brick, it was nice to hear the wall of sound when you stacked them :P

I use bass soul food and a spectradrive stacked. Soul food is first in the chain and set up to be a light tube overdrive. The tone print in my spectradrive is a natural overdrive set up to be medium. Both together is a very nice warm smooth distortion with a lot of presence.
I've owned many od, dist, and fuzz pedals in the last few years and I believe this is a near perfect combination. I like my distortion to not be too noisy, not override the note, and have the effect equal to the dry note because I want the note to sound like its actually vibrating those 8s.
Here's another cool thing. I sometimes go "spectradrive, bass wah, soul food" the spectradrive overdrive is really enhanced in the wah, but when your foot goes off the wah, the distortion goes back to normal which is not a smooth transition. The soul food after the wah disguises the transition between wah and no wah.

Very interesting video. Have you tried moving the horizon to the front of the chain? It sounds like it has a low pass filter on it. Having it at the front could give some tighter sounds that could be better built off of.
