Love the pin... I'm in the N.W. not many use the pin up here.... I have a 13.6 St. Croix with a Okuma Raw II for my floating braid and Okuma Adventa for my mono set up.... Nothing like a pin for floating

That's a really nice reel! I use an islander steelheader on a 10'6" g.loomis medium rod, float fishing for salmon and steelhead. Decided to try out a snap swivel a couple winters ago, once and only once. The snap swivle literally snapped in half while fighting a big chrome steelhead and obviously lost the fish. Still sad about that one and I will never use those swivels again hahaha!

word of advice from use your back when fighting a fish, and the less shots the better - 6.2 - load it up to 4.5 gram shots for the float to be more TIGHT LINES

What time did you hold class?… I missed out!… LOL. Same deal with me yesterday, 6 hours, 2 fish.

Off topic but have you ever fished the canadian side of the niagara river like the whirlpool? I hear a lot of people saying the US side has better fishing but I’d like to hear your opinion if you have experience with both

I have a g.loomis bobber rod with a heavy duty reel. (I don’t know what brand it is) I use a double surgeons knot to connect the leader to the main line, and drop shots as weights
