I used to use this setup for trout in farm ponds in central Washington around Grant County. Always worked great...yours is bit different from my traditional setup...I think I’ll try yours next time. Thanks!

I watched a different video with Jordan, stating you must have a 10-12ft leader because you don't use your bobber on your braided line to slide up and down on . Because you get alot of resistance

Really helpful to see this repetition for us relative steelhead/salmon noobs.

Would you be able to add a second bobber stop but below your last bead? This being could you use that to basically use that setup as a fixed float if you wanted to?

With this type of set up are you not able to adjust the height of the bobber, if you
wanted your bait to sink longer? Or is the bobber stopper knot able to slide up and down the line?

You were talking about Barbour size and weight size make sure they match so you would use a half ounce weight and 1/2 ounce bobber? Or a quarter ounce weight and a quarter ounce Barber ?

What kind of weights and a floater did you use?

I quit doing sliding floats . Fixed but moveable floats, no swivle, 20lb low vis braid direct to the jig . Sufix pro mix braid is low vis. Some people think youl be leaving braid in the water if you break off.. not so. Braid breaks at the knot 98% of the time . Doggers probably leave way more gear than i do. Especially with a flouro bumper. Also, the reason for fixed is so you can swing the jig through tailouts that are shallowing up. Another reason for braid straight to the jig is braid is soft and they dont feel the line like they would mono.
If you keep it simple, you get way more casts in a day.

What brand of inline sinkers are you using??? Thanks

That's the setup. The only think I do differently is add anotjer bobber stop between the lower bead and the mainline knot to the inline weight. Just in case for whatever reason, if I break on the mainline side of the weight, I don't lose my bobber.
