Honestly, as much as I dislike Matt Gaetz, the fact that most of Congress hates him, makes me dislike him a little less. But for the record, Congress probably hates him because some of the bills he kept pushing were ones that would limit their wealth. Just to name a few, Gaetz was pushing for: Congressional term limits, Congressional stock trading bands, campaign finance reform to reduce dark money contributions. And he had Dem co-signers on every popular (among normal Americans) piece of legislation that he was pushing for. With this in mind, it doesn't shock me that most of Congress hated him because both parties are bought and paid for. Let's not also forget that he strongly hinted at wrong doing by the Israeli government, which is sacrosanct in Congress.
