The us played this surprisingly well. Not sure if it was intentional for the US but Japans low block is so well organized you aren’t gonna get through easily. Hence why Spains tiki taki struggled in the World Cup. Taking long shots is key. Shaws first goal was how you do it.

Wow amazing performance by the the USA women soccer team this afternoon was a tough and physical and mental game tonight but by the end of the clock and the international friendlies they came out Great contributions tonight from Shaw and Lindsey Horan. You can immediately tell when a player is aware of when they make a mistake by their reaction like putting their hands on their head or some other type of gesture. You hardly ever see that with Alex and Smith which is an indication of their lack of awareness and lack of goal scoring skills.
