The goal scored by Carli Lloyd from midfield was the most beautiful in the history of women's world cups.

None of the men's finals has ever had a goal as beautiful Carli Lloyd's 3rd goal. Truly world class audacious. Bravo!

Just wanna say, the announcer is amazing. Off-the-charts great. His excitement, enthusiasm, inflection, the way he goes quiet and lets things breather. Top notch.

Seeing Carli Lloyd scoring THAT goal from midfield was one of the best goals I've ever seen in the match! Amazing match and atmosphere

I know Lloyd's third was incredible, but that first goal was also a thing of beauty. The corner was inch perfect, Lloyd timed her run to the millisecond, and the look on coach Ellis' face tells me it was the plan all along.

It's awesome when you can spend the last half hour of a game that big smiling instead of worrying.

I just watched this after the 2022 Men's World Cup, and I'm struck by how precise and clean the women's play is. No diving, no whining for mommy to kiss their fake boo-boo when they're pretending to be fouled, and they actually show respect to their opponents, even when it's not required. This was real competition, not players trying to get away with stuff. Their passing is great, and their shots on goal usually aren't rockets that fly way above the net and into the stands. There were a few, but in the men's game that seems to be the rule, not the exception. Maybe the speed and the power are a little less in the women's game, but if that's the case, it makes their skill and precision that much more important. I like what I see. There don't seem to be any overpaid, over-privileged egomaniacs here, and it's a much purer game because of it. I'll be watching in 2023.

At 4:59 Carli Lloyd on her way to say hi to Hope Solo in the US goal. A #10 walking that far away from goal on a corner? Training ground move done to perfection.

So, I don't know what I enjoy more. Lloyd's midfield goal, or the way the commentator reacts to it. Obviously, Lloyd did more. But the reaction is so much fun for me.
