If only the men's team were half as good as the women's, soccer will take off like crazy in America. Plus its better to play international sports and compete against other countries. You get a sense of collective pride from it which you don't get when LA is playing New York or Boston is playing Dallas in American football or baseball.

Crazy to see the similarities between the world cup and the Olympics between these two teams. The most evident, US shot a lot on the post during the WC and during the Olympics Japan had the bad luck of the post. Rivals but tremendous respect all around between the two teams. Should have been a penalty for Japan, but both teams did well regardless. FOlks complain about female goalkeepers, but those two break the stereotype imo.
