how to create a shapefile in ArcGIS?

To create a shapefile in ArcGIS, following these steps:
1.Open ArcGIS Desktop.
2.Click on the File tab.
3. Click on New.
4. Click on Shapefile.
5.In the Create New Shapefile window, enter a name for your shapefile and select the feature type that you want to create.
6.Click OK.
7 The Shapefile Editor window will open.
8 Use the Create Features toolbar to create features in your shapefile.
9 Once you have finished creating features,
10 click on the Save Editor button.
