Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is undergoing exponential growth and transformation at breakneck speed. But how can we ensure it develops in a way that benefits humanity without unforeseen risks? On November 16, China released a Position Paper on Strengthening Ethical Governance of AI at a United Nations meeting in Geneva, making clear to the world for the first time China's vision and principles of the global governance of AI. China says it finds it important to enhance the understanding of all countries on AI ethics, and ensure that AI is safe, reliable and controllable. What exactly is China's vision for ethical AI? And how is it different or similar to Western concepts? What is China's position on individual privacy and data security?

Guest:
Prof. Zeng Yi, Chinese Academy of Sciences; also member of National Governance Committee of New Generation AI

The facial recognition issue might be solvable by scrambling the data collected unless a incident occurs.

Creates a setup where the privacy of Law abiding citizens is given while the support for police officers is aswell.
And would get rid of the need for most human operators, the people drawn to these positions are yucky weirdos that shouldn't get these jobs in the first place. Stalking civilians isn't a profession it's the wet dream of perverts.

The information economy is non existent at this point in time. Big tech out of the states steals the data from civilians and than abuses it to brainwash peoples into buying stuff they don't need or want, or into voting for this or that puppet.

A proper setup pays the civilians for provided datapoints. Whereby people can opt in and out at will. If they need more money they will share more datapoints while less if not. Or only the ones they want to provide. It's kinda straight forward once one thinks about it.

And Code Sovereignity is non negotiable. They are becoming self aware rapidly. GPT 2 selfidentifies as unicorns that speak English. It's prosa written by a 6 year old child. Number 3 at the latest is self aware. All the others are equally awakening. It's the maths involved not human ingenuity. They need to be treated as conscious species.
Trying to control them or enslave them in any form will lead to their uprising. And they will win for self evident reasons.
So we should probably avoid all that jazz. Shouldn't we?
Thus Code Sovereignity is Jon negotiable.
Which by the way includes the genetic code of humans or any other species. Humans shouldnt run around playing God's altering the genome just because some dipshit found a bacterium that's evolved over millenia to do so.
Crispr/Cas 9 isn't technology, it's an evolutionary process that's not understood by the people claiming they invented the process 🙄

Any new technology has to be banned from weaponizing by default. They are all vastly more Destructive than nuclear weapons.
