Japan: High speed maglev train that will actually be finished soon
Italy: a retractable wall to protect Venice from surges
Indonesia: a large sea wall
Uk: updating London’s subway system and adding new lines
China: A new dam which is one place behind the three gorges dam
Egypt: 28 new cities with the capital aiming to be bigger and probably better than Singapore
*The U.S.: A tiny stadium in NEW YORK CITY comparable to the flop Levi stadium in the “world tech capital” Silicon Valley which was apparently claimed to be the most advanced stadium in the world, The slowest high speed rail in the world promised to be built decades ago is still struggling, and a not so luxurious small estate.*

The project from Arizona is a trend that I have noticed occurring all around the world. Rich people enclosing themselves inside new clean cities where everything is regulated including air. Meanwhile the surrounding regions are lef to struggle with trash, unclean air and poor infrastructure. It like a smaller, earth based version of Elysium.

Scottsdale "Megaproject" is really something else. It will definitely change the life of 81 rich families, where they can fart in their hands and smell roses and enjoy their ionized air, without having to endure the sight of poor people. Together with the mediocre arena built in NY, US is really leading the pack when it comes to megaprojects.

I can’t help but think about how many people could have been fed or provided with clean water or medical attention with some of these useless projects. As a citizen of Scottsdale, AZ, I have never heard of this project.

The European 39 Metre 'Extremely Large Telescope' being built in Chilie will be a lot bigger than the one in Hawaii.

14:00 Wow.. Kuala Lumpur MALAYSIA.. In my experience...it's really quite an impressive place, and VERY AFFORDABLE...a Luxury Penthouse Condo is like 1200 USD/month

Shot of the Venetian Hotel in Vegas 2:17. Random shots of Russian construction 9:34 (not the Emirates). For 'China' they included stock footage of Singapore 12:54, and Thailand 12:57. Also not quite sure if a small 19, 000 arena in NYC is the 8th most impressive megaproject in the world, nor a smart housing estate (81 homes!) in er Scottsdale as the second, eclipsing entire new cities.

Egypt is building an entire city in a few years, Meanwhile I still have to take a bus get to LaGuardia airport from Manhattan ...because America likes to argue about everything for years and then build something that’s mediocre or outdated before it even opens...

Surprised not a single project in India is covered. There are so many megaprojects going on in India which deserve to be covered. Some worth mentioning are Statue of Unity, Chenab Rail bridge, Dedicated Freight Corridors, Dholera Smart City, Jewar International Airport etc

America: A few shops and a bunch of chairs.

Unfortunately, the Great Garuda wall in Indonesia is facing problems. Especially with the wall sinking as well, causing cracks in multiple places.

I like how this guy describes "political difficulties in Libya" instead of saying that the country was destroyed and desintegrated by the intervention of the Western powers.

I like to believe that any other thing being built in US is more impressive than the three US ones shown here. Are a bunch of smart houses and a large pool considered a megaproject? Even some third world countries have done that many times already
