And all unaffordable to the average citizen.

I wasn't surprised, but was disappointed that almost none of the projects were addressing homelessness or affordable housing, just more playgrounds for the wealthy. It's a shame that as humans, we haven't yet decided that housing is a human right...

The best project is that of Jaque Fresco with the Venus Project....small communities rather than cities

It was hella disrespectful to call Akon washed up. Esp considering that he found Lady Gaga and retired cuz he didn’t want to tour. You could just named him and kept it moving like you did for most of it.

What is needed is smaller communities that are all connected

The Line is growing on me with each episode. I hope someone follows it up with The Circle, that would be way cooler :) Thanks, Not Charlie Sheen, for another great episode!!

I like THE LINE. It's the most sensible subway style. In fact, parallel tracks could even save energy going back and forth.

Back in the late 90s to early 00s, the Maldives were supposed to be under water by 2018. They've measured NO sea level rise yet.

Did he just called Akon washed up, and fraudulent that was unnecessary. The man had done alot of good things for Afrika.

The cities are beautiful. very clean. People are kind to each other. People are also very secretive because if they do something wrong their neighbors rewarded by telling on them. People do not get drunk people do not use drugs. Schools are clean children play. Women all ware the same color. It is standard uniform. It is dress. Men likewise but their colors are different. People eat good food But it is healthy. Nobody goes hungry. Everybody has a reason and a purpose. People do not get abused There is no such thing within the cities. Everyone is good. People will live outside the walls they say that they choose freedom and that the people within the walls have given up their freedom and exchange for better life. They claim they will never give up their freedom which is why they do not live within the City. The city would not accept them anyway unless they won the lottery. They suffer outside the walls. They are also very dangerous. They would hurt you for just a morsel of food

Great to see some environmentally friendly cities.

There are many established cities implementing innovative projects that make them a great place to live, work & play. I'm a little skeptical of all these new cities as there's a lot of profit (corruption) in the construction industry and I'm sure there are lots of company execs & stakeholders chuckling with glee at all the money they'll be making. I hope these cities live up to expectation and provide ALL residents with a good quality of life, not just a few rich ones, which generally is the case.

Food, water and amenities in Mecca are not FREE OF CHARGE. They are included in your cost of renting a tent for thousands of dollars... Huge difference people.

I hope all these places get made and that they get filled to capacity. That way I can finally have my dream home on a farm in the middle of nowhere. 😉

The missing element in most of these plans is that cities sprout up in response to a "primary industry". Viable cities are not just residential, retail, restaurants, and parks. Those things make it nice but producing something the rest of the world wants is what keeps it alive.

Dude called Akon “washed up” I’m not even a huge Akon (tho hes got classics) guy but I feel as dude was just underhandedly complimenting his vision & his attempt. Decent vid tho!
