I had the opportunity to attend a private showing of FramerX in Santa Monica, CA. After that presentation I decided that I finally have to learn React.js and React Native. FramerX is (hopefully) a game changer for sure. We'll see how it finally develops👌

The new features in X make it very easy to quickly prototype any “standard” feature or screen. But it is arguably more difficult to explore crazy and weird ideas for custom interactions. I miss the old version for that...

You're right, Framer X is more for applications. React is the language of the future, and with my brief experience of it, it's very useful. especially since you can reuse components. I haven't tried Framer X but I'm looking forward of it. I love using visual tools to code.

Being able to inject custom React code into the prototype is a really cool concept to me. Super interested to check out the new update. Could convince me to start learning!

I'm not super fan of the tools to autogenerate code and jsut relay on them for code, but I agree that Designers should be more present in the implementation phase and not just handover the deliverables to devs... an app/website is way better if there is people with specific roles involved: developers have other problems to deal with, designers have to be there to ensure quality of the experience from the beginning to the end.

I got my invite on day 1 as my waiting list number was 2. Lucky there. 😅 But you have to this out, it's one of the most amazing tool I have ever used for my design process. ❤ In love with framer X.

Great video, I am not an expert in Sketch but after seeing the 20K pixel wide user flows we would end up with in order to capture all states of a product interface I also thought it was odd process. Full-stack designers are the key to simplifying the production process, I will try out web flow and Framer when it is available.

Cool review. I've been eying this new tool for a few months now. How do you compare Framer X with InVision Studio? I'm about to ditch this Sketch/InVision work flow. The other question I have is does Framer X provide some sort of design system foundations such as collecting and categorizing primitives/atoms, components and patterns? Thanks.

The overview video does a great job. the product looks amazing. I'm currently working with UXpin which use the same concept. I curious to see how it works for you. In the "real life", these products tend to be very bugi...

It really looks cool, my only challenge with framer x is React as choice of development, because when building large enterprise solutions or very complex solutions React would not hold out. That does not take anything away from framer x, i think it is the future of Visual designs. All the same Thanks Ran for sharing

I am really excited to try Framer X, if it really lives the hype, it will be a game changer for product design. I am at 800+ in the queue, hopefully I can get the beta this month.

I have the beta. its nice but I hope they will replace the monthly subscription to one yearly payment (like sketch) and there will be some free option as well like figma, xd and studio.

Framer x is pretty disappointing. Nice that the learning curve is very shallow, but they're are so many basic features that are now missing that they previously had... Like horizontal swiping, kinda mandatory if you're designing an app.. And no code view, so now instead of using coffee script which I just learned for previous versions of framer, i need to learn react, bc it's the flavor of the day. Live preview is only available if framer x and the document are open so no cloud based link for remote user testing . Stick to the older version until framer x is more fully featured.
