Dude I literally went through my 1.4.4 world stressing about it and only fishing for hardmode ores, this is good to know haha

This was only changed in 1.4.4, previous versions would replace a random stone block with evil/hallow variant with a 2/3 chance, this mechanich is still present in the 3DS version of the game

Prior to 1.4.4, alters would spawn one tile of either hallow, or corruption. So immediately the spread would be unnoticeable and checking the dryad would be the same percent, however over time the spread would be pretty bad given how many alters were broken. However 1.4.4 removed this feature and now no corruption or hallow tiles are spawned

Great video, I have one question tho. What happens if you destroy all of them?? do you loss the hability to craft those certain items in that world

Thanks I heard somewhere that it spawns a random block of corrupt in a random spot, this helped alot :)
