Red Dog was a kelpie/cattle dog cross that was well known for his travels through Western Australia's vast Pilbara region. Red Dog had a series of owners and lengthy periods traveling on his own, essentially becoming a beloved friend and mascot of the greater Pilbara community

In Belgium, we have a story called Nello and Patrasche. Also about a dog's unenviable loyalty. Not so well known in Belgium itself but apparently very there in Japan.
No one is as loyal as a dog ...

This just makes me remember my dog.... We had her for many years my family and I went to live in an another country the dog stayed with my grandparents and 1 year after we left we were going back on holidays and i was just looking forward to seeing our dog.... Well she escaped 4 days before we were supposed to come and I never saw her again :'( even my granddad cried for a few months and I've never seen him cry.
